I read some mainstream books (The Hunger Games, Divergent, etc) but I have a very particular taste for a good book. I love a good realistic fiction, a good dystopian, a good children's book, any good book. I don't just put any book I like into my list of favorites. If I put it on a list, I love it.
First off, let's get one thing settled: If you have not yet read Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings, you need to get your priorities straightened out. ;) Go read them, anyway.
A list of hands down favorites (in no particular order):
- The Composer is Dead by Lemony Snicket
- Surviving the Applewhites by Stephanie S. Tolan
- Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis
- The Diviners by Libba Bray
- Mutant Message Down Under by Marlo Morgan
- Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
- Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, and its sequel Love, Stargirl
- Dear Killer by Katherine Ewell
- Evolution, Me, & Other Freaks of Nature by Robin Brande
- Wool by Hugh Howey
- The Road by Cormac McCarthy
- A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle
Now go read!! :D If you have a favorite you think deserves love, feel free to pop me a recommendation. I would love to find more favorites. :D
Ahh, I LOVE this idea! I might have to steal it and make a book love page of my own. Haha, and I love how your comments section has "And hey, thanks for reading." I know you mean the blog, but it's just so fitting here!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :D :D Go steal it!!
DeleteHahah you're right, I hadn't thought of that :D that's great.
